Yes exactly, I have heard the same complaint from many that, Moto Ex128 is not able to support as a PC modem. So if you are buying that for this purpose, better think twice.

Dear Aditya,
First decide whether U really need 2 sim phone. And then if U realy cannot do without 2 sim, then go in for the the best ones available like Samsung etc.Never go in for Motorola EX128 though namewise it looks good.I am repenting the day i bought it ! You may see my realier comment at 40.

i want to buy dual sim phone , the phone should have expandable memory,camera2-3 mp, connect to my laptop for internet and my budget is 5000-6000.
Dear Aditya,
You have options like Samsung Chat 322 Qwerty, Nokia C3 (Not dual SIM though). There are many other options from Micromax, Lava etc but I do not recommend them.

As regards Motorola EX128,the battery backup is very poor, at times doesnt last for 8 hrs.even ! The os used is not at all user friendly and misses lot of features available in phones costing less.It is not atall a phone worth recommending as Best Buy.If need be kindly get in touch. Thanks

Hi,
Pradeep, nice reviews and replies…..
I’m planning to buy this EX128, as u said in the above post its dual sim standby phone in the sense that while i’m attending a call on sim 1, if i receive a call on sim 2, do the person who is calling will get status as busy/switched off.
clarify.
Yes exactly Srimanth, you cannot use both SIM simultaneously in this, everytime you have to switch the SIMs manually to use each of those. This phone is not dual SIM active, its just duak SIM standby, which means you have to select one active SIM.

Yes Moto doesnt support PC modem support. Micromax X550 phone can be used as a modem but it has many complaints, just read the comments for it on this site. Regarding Lava A10 , am not very sure if it can be connected as aPC modem since its a new model. I suggest you go for any Nokia or Samsung single SIM model for internet.

Hi Pradeep, Your review has given good information on EX128. Though I am confused between Motorola EX128, Samsung B5722 & other Micromax Touch Dual Sim Phones. Which one do u suggest? Motorola is not known for music, battary or picture clarity earlier, regarding EX128 how are these? Can we rely on it or its better to increase budget by 1-2k & go for any other model. I need touch for better internet access in mobile & fast. Hope it serves that. Please suggest.

Hi Dinesh, I would suggest you Samsung Phones over Moto & Micromax. Why don’t you go for any Nokia Models? Like Nokia 5235 or Nokia C3 are good ones. Among the above I would go for Samsung. I would also suggest you Samsung Galaxy 5, which comes at 8.5k

IN JAVA ONLY GAMES CAN BE DOWNLOADED
I HAVE DOUBT IF IT WILL SUPPORT THIRD PARTY SOFTWARES AS DONE IN SYMBION MODELS
about 1 year ago
It should support .jar & .jad softwares. But I am not so sure on this, since Moto has not provided any further details on this particular thing.
CAN WE DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE IN MOTOROLA EX128
HAS SAMSUNG 5233 STARNXT PUSH MAIL OR NOT
about 1 year ago
Yes since Moto Ex128 supports Java, I suppose you should be able to download & install softwares. Samsung star has e-mail support.

Which is better? Moto or Micromax Qube? PLease suggest
about 1 year ago
I would say both are good in their own way. If you are going by brand, go for Motorola, if you want a unique phone go for Micromax Qube, because its the only phone I know which has a 3D interface.

WHICH OUT OF 2 IS BETTER
If you ask me to buy one among these, then I would surely go with Motorola EX128, since I have had a bad experience with my previous Samsung Phone. Though my decision is based purely on previous experience. I would suggest you walk into any mobile store, have a feel of both & decide.

I suggest Motorola EX128 since Samsung Phones will usually have Software bugs.

But again , as you can see on the mobile screen, they have showed SIM1 & SIM2, I am not sure if its just indicative, or its just the place they are showing , where info about the SIM1 & SIM2 appear when active. Anyways I will confirm this soon
about 1 year ago
Naresh, I am not very sure, but I think its a resistive touchscreen since they provide a stylus, which most of the times doesn’t comes with a capacitive touchscreen.
Also as I said only 1 SIM can be active at a time, you need to switch SIM in between to use the other one. Only thing is, you can put in 2 SIMs at a time but not use them together. I came to this conclusion from the call receive button on the phone, since there is only 1 call receive button, it supports only 1 SIM active at a time.
this is a nice release from motorola
I have few doubts, whether the touch screen is resistive or a capacitive touch screen.
Are both sims active at same time, i mean is it a dual sim active phone. please clarify
about 1 year ago
hi pradeep,
Are both these phones Active dual-SIM or Standby dual-SIM?
Both support dual SIM but not dual stand-by
