Thank you very much for writing this blog. Your blog mentioned exact comments about LAVA B8… Me too owned this phone and found very cost effective. As the price involved, the features provided are awesome… but one thing bro… as you said the WiFi is working fine. but not the same case for me. cause I have done all the settings required for WiFi and to be on safe side removed all my GPRS settings, still i m not able to access the WiFi functionality. Please let me know what other things you have done or may be the settings you have done. Waiting for your reply

HI Sudhir,
In some mobiles, the IP adress, needs to be manually set, please try connecting to the WiFi after manually setting the IP address, also check, if your device gets a MAC address, when it is trying to connect to the WiFi.

well hello boss, finally Lava B8 is in Hand and its secrets reveled.. Superb phone.. i not yet found the all features yet even it is fully in my hand for past 3 dayZ,
Advatage:
1. great look
2. Camera satisfied for me
3. battery not yet clearly known but seems to be OK for me, caz, i most play songs also it will stand by for 1 1/2 day believe, it will automatically ge increased
4. really surprised of its WiFi, edge, grps & push mail.. all working perfectly… superb
5. predefined gameZ, tones, wallpaper… nice..
6. 3d sound.. not great but k.. enough for me..
7. u have voice message recorder,torch(flash), scheduled SMS, photo editor,.. etc..
8. man superb track pad, feel as a hight quality touch phone..
9. enough sound in speaker…
10. shake sensor .. superb
11. reallly surprised of its charging system.. caz, u can charge in 2 ways AC current and 2nd is through USB…
disadvantage:
1. it shining look, if touch its back panel ur finger print can be clearly seen in it. for that u need to cover it with polythene paper..
2. think voice change not include(not needed for me)
3. first while using this phone u willl be sure uncomportable with this phone trackpad, surely it will be ok..
4. one 2 theme available as predefined.. don’t know themes could be included(don’t know it file format..searching)
5. as Nokia mobile u cannot customize the menu bar, it will be a constant one..
6. only predefined images are fit as wallpapers, other images doesn’t fit ..
7. gettin problem while connecting mobile to system throught USB… hope i will solve it..

thanks boss, if ask someone about the drawbacks of this phone.. caz.. i searched alot,cant found a clearcut drawback.. ya its seems to be the best feature.. but i heard its camera is not to good.. also i expect a camera quality.. i simply need a stylish qwerty phone with wifi.. pls ask for me..

Its a good phone with good features, but perfomance wise I cannot comment since I have not used it personally.
